Responsibilities:
UW-Whitewater Police are committed to protecting the lives, property, and rights of all residents, through proactive policing, community engagement, and strong partnerships. Patrol officer responsibilities include but aren’t limited to; responding to calls for service, conducting criminal investigations, enforcing state and UWS18 violations; enforcement and monitoring of traffic laws. Upon successful completion of probationary period, officers are eligible for specialty positions, including K-9 Handler, Detective, Riot/Mobile Field Force Team, Drone Operator, RHO (Residence Hall Officer), Evidence Technician, Bike Patrol, Peer Support team, Drug Unit task force officer, field training officer, court officer, and many more

- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
