The Village of Saukville is looking to fill one full time vacancy for the position of Police Officer. Saukville is located in central Ozaukee County just 20 minutes north of Milwaukee on Interstate 43. Saukville is a growing community of over 4,400 residents. Officers patrol a diverse mix of residential, commercial and industrial property encompassing 3.85 square miles. The Saukville Police Department has an unprecedented level of excellence, professionalism, and dedication to the community which we serve. Reason for Announcement:
Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to, enforcing laws and ordinances of the State of Wisconsin and Village of Saukville. Conduct criminal investigations, investigate traffic crashes, identify and solve community problems, and provide preventative police patrols of the village.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
New employees may be granted wages, vacation time, and health insurance premiums proportional to years of continuous service for another law enforcement agency. These benefits will be considered on a case by case basis.

Qualifications:
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
