Agency Credentialing/ US DOJ Standards for Agency Certification
On June 16, 2020, President Donald J. Trump issued Executive Order (EO) 13929 on Safe Policing for Safe Communities. The EO and US DOJ Standards of Certification (agency) are applicable to state, local, and university or college law enforcement agencies (LEA) seeking DOJ discretionary (i.e., competitive) grant funding. They do not apply to tribal law enforcement agencies.

The Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG) has been approved by the United States Attorney General's Office as the primary independent credentialing body for Wisconsin.

Information and forms for policy certification can be found on the WILEAG website at www.wileag.info.
