Join us as we grow. We are currently contracted with Marion Township to provide boat patrol and are in contract negotiations with two additional villages and a township for police services. This will require hiring of additional full and part-time personnel. Work where you vacation in a community that respects its law enforcement. The City of Wautoma motto is “Recreation in Every Direction.” That is because we are surrounded by over 100 lakes, trout streams, 10,000 plus acres of public land, snowmobile/atv trails, and Nordic Ski Mountain. Enjoy the lower cost of living, low crime rates and great schools. Seasonal visitors increase the area population by over 20,000 in addition to being a hub of four state highways. This allows our city to have many resources you would normally only find in a larger community. Positions include Boat Patrol, School Resource Officer, Lieutenant, ICAC Investigator, Therapy K9, Training Officers, DARE, and a part-time drug investigator. This may soon include a village officer position and second SRO. New squads, Axon cameras, all uniforms are provided.
