The City of Amery is currently seeking a full-time patrol officer and accepting lateral transfers. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes HS A contribution, WRS, Payment in lieu of insurance, Flexible Spending Account, and a generous amount of Paid Time Off. Our officers work on a Pitman schedule, which means they work twelve-hour shifts and get every other weekend off. They also receive call-in and court pay, and Department-issued firearms are provided. Responsibilities:
The role of an Amery Police Officer encompasses various responsibilities, such as patrolling, enforcing criminal and municipal laws, maintaining public relations, and ensuring the safety of the community. This involves monitoring and implementing traffic laws, investigating traffic crashes, responding to routine and emergency assistance requests, investigating and reporting criminal activities, making arrests, and performing other related law enforcement duties. The Amery Police Department is willing to sponsor a candidate for an upcoming 720-hour recruit academy. Our officers work on a Pitman schedule offering officers every other weekend off.
