EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY VILLAGE OF GRANTSBURG POLICE OFFICER The Village of Grantsburg Police Department is now accepting applications for a full-time police officer. The officer will work under the direction of the Chief of Police. Minimum requirements include U.S. citizen, minimum of 18 years of age, valid driver’s license, High School diploma, possess and submit proof of two-year associate degree from a Wisconsin vocational, technical or adult education district or its accredited equivalent from another state, or a minimum of 60 full accredited college level credits. Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board certification or eligibility, ability to perform a variety of law enforcement duties, ability to use all standard police equipment, techniques and use of force options, strong oral and written communication skills and excellent moral character. Special consideration may be given to candidates with prior police experience and/or currently eligible for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board certification. Applicant shall have no felony or domestic abuse convictions. Applicant must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, nights and weekends. Salary will depend on qualifications. Excellent benefits. One-year probationary period from the date of hire. The selection process may include any or all of the following: oral interviews, written exam, background investigation, medical examination including drug screening and psychological testing.
