Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

Conduct patrol duties, respond to calls for service, assist the public, enforce traffic laws, investigate traffic crashes, conduct investigations, enforce federal, state, and local laws, prepare written reports, forms, and other documents as required, and testify in criminal and municipal court proceedings. Additional opportunities are available such as the Bike Unit, Emergency Response Team, Drone Operator, Drug Unit, K-9 unit, and many other specialized units.

  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Driver's license
  • Good driving record

  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations

Additional Education Information
Qualified candidates will have 5 years from the date of hire to complete 60 college credits if you do not have the required credits at the time of hire. Some credits will be earned by completing the police academy.
