The Village of Bangor Police Department is seeking motivated, community-focused individuals with prior Law Enforcement experience to join our team as full-time Police Officers. Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

Enforce laws and ordinances of the State of Wisconsin and the Village of Bangor, conduct criminal investigations, investigate accidents, identify and solve community problems, and provide preventative police patrol. Lateral Transfer Program Details:

Officers with 5 or more years of full-time experience start at top pay. Less than five years of experience will be at starting pay unless matching current employers pay level. Officers with experience can receive up to 3 weeks' vacation with appropriate qualifications.

  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position
  • Ability to possess a firearm
  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • Previous experience
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20
