Responsibilities:
The Police Chief is the Chief Administrative Officer of the department and the final departmental authority in all matters of police operations, and discipline. The Police Chief exercises all lawful powers of the office derived from Wisconsin statute 62.09(13) and Chapter 115 of the City Code of Ordinances and issues such lawful orders as are necessary to assure the effective performance of the department. The Police Chief shall provide the general supervision of the police department to include; training, crime prevention, and public relations. These duties shall be accomplished with the support and cooperation of the Police and Fire Commission, the City Administrator and the Common Council within the guidelines of 62.13 of the Wisconsin Statutes.

- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
