Responsibilities:
Position Responsibilities
All Deputies are sworn, with full arrest powers, and protective status with paid WRS contributions. Employment begins in the jail division where your main responsibility will be to maintain the security of the jail. There are opportunities to become a member of many of our specialty units, to include the opportunity to transfer to the patrol division.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Starting pay and time off may be increased based on prior law enforcement and/or correctional environment experience and certifications already obtained.

- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
