Responsibilities:
UW Oshkosh Police Officers are sworn law enforcement officers (State of WI LESB certified) responsible for providing a full range of law enforcement services: enforce laws, investigate complaints, investigate incidents which may have an impact on the University, maintain order, assist people, identify criminal activity, apprehend and arrest offenders, identify the source of problems in the community, and work with the community to resolve issues. This is a Limited Term/part-time position that will cover a variety of work hours/shifts,and assist with special events and other responsibilities as assigned. Applicants are required to have completed the Police Recruit Academy in order to be considered for these positions.

- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
