The City of Neillsville Police Department is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Patrol Officer to supplement our full-time staff. The Neillsville Police Department consists of seven full-time and three part-time employees dedicated to providing professional law enforcement services to our community. Duties include, but are not limited to, patrol operations, preliminary complaint investigations, traffic enforcement, special event assignments, and enforcement of state statutes and municipal ordinances. This position offers a flexible schedule and is an excellent opportunity for: Certified law enforcement officers seeking supplemental income, Retired officers looking to remain active in the profession, or new officers seeking additional experience in a progressive law enforcement agency

  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position
  • Ability to possess a firearm
  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20

Education Requirements:

High school diploma
60 college credits / Associate's degree
Additional Education Information
