Dispatcher/Telecommunicator

Please note that the successful candidates will need to be able to pass a thorough background check before being hired. Salary: Starting pay is expected to be between $28.58 and $31.96/hour, depending on qualifications. Benefits: WRS Retirement program. We also offer the choice of two different health insurance programs (a high-deductible health plan that includes City contributions into a health savings account and a health reimbursement arrangement OR a PPO insurance plan); dental, vision, and life insurances; and provide competitive vacation days, personal days, holidays, and sick leave. Schedule: Must be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays, with rotating days off and occasional mandatory overtime. The City of Franklin Dispatch Center works a 5-2, 5-3 work schedule, or 2002 hours per year. Inexperienced candidates would start near the entry level wage rate. Written exam: Applicants will need to successfully pass a written exam prior to being called in for an oral interview. The exam is tentatively expected to be scheduled the week of June 8 with interviews tentatively conducted the week of June 15.
