The City of Franklin is accepting applications for 911 Dispatchers. See job description for full qualifications and job duties. Please note that the successful candidates will need to be able to pass a thorough background check before being hired. Salary: Starting pay is expected to be between $28.58 and $31.96/hour, depending on qualifications. Benefits: WRS Retirement program. We also offer the choice of two different health insurance programs (a high-deductible health plan that includes City contributions into a health savings account and a health reimbursement arrangement OR a PPO insurance plan); dental, vision, and life insurances; and provide competitive vacation days, personal days, holidays, and sick leave. Schedule: Must be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays, with rotating days off and occasional mandatory overtime. The City of Franklin Dispatch Center works a 5-2, 5-3 work schedule, or 2002 hours per year. Inexperienced candidates would start near the entry level wage rate. Written exam: Applicants will need to successfully pass a written exam prior to being called in for an oral interview. The exam is tentatively expected to be scheduled the week of June 8 with interviews tentatively conducted the week of June 15. Applicants who have applied in the past year, and were interviewed but not hired, will be ineligible to apply during this hiring process.
