Position Responsibilities

The Village of Webster Police Department is accepting applications for Patrol Officer to enforce State Laws and Ordinances within the Village. We are a Community Oriented Agency and building relationships with community members is important. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Recruitment Process includes the following: Interview, Background Investigation, Psychological Exam, Drug Screen, and Medical Assessment. Applicants who have not completed the recruit academy have the opportunity to receive sponsorship through the department at a local technical college (NWTC or CVTC). If an applicant lives in a different region of the state, possible accommodations can be made for a recruit academy closer to you.

  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position
  • Ability to possess a firearm
  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • Supervisory/Management Experience
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20
Other Qualifications
  • Willing to work within the schools to building relationships with the students.
