***Lateral Transfer Only Recruitment*** The Village of McFarland is currently accepting applications for a current vacancy and to also establish an eligibility list for future planned vacancies. The Police Officer position is responsible for answering calls for service, traffic enforcement, addressing criminal behavior and quality of life issues, and proactive patrol in the Village. We are a community driven department that emphasizes officers engaging and participating in Community Outreach Programs. Specialty assignments include SRO, CRO, K9 Unit, Peer Support, Training Instructors, and Drone Team.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

This opportunity is available to any officer, currently employed in a Law Enforcement Agency, and in good standing with that agency. The later transfer program will, at the discretion of the Village, offer higher starting wage and vacation benefits along with the award of up to 400 hours of sick time match from your current agency. With a minimum of three years of experience, officers will be eligible for the educational incentive program. This is an expedited hiring process that will move quickly as applications are received. We will not wait until the closing date to screen applications and will process as they are received.
