Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

Part-Time Police Officer: This a fully sworn officer position. Part-time officers fill in for open shifts due to scheduling gaps and officers taking off. We work a 4 on 5 off rotation, 12-hour shifts. There will be plenty of shifts to work. Responsibilities: Traffic enforcement, ordinance enforcement, parking enforcement, calls for service, patrol duties, community policing activities that include being part of the department for events and social contacts by interacting with the general public during your shift.

  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position
  • Ability to possess a firearm
  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions

Education Requirements:

Education Requirements
High school diploma
60 college credits / Associate's degree
Additional Education Information
Preference to those that have completed the 720hr academy.
