Responsibilities:
Position Responsibilities
The Captain is a sworn Law Enforcement Officer and is the Commander of an assigned Division within a Bureau. The Captain may work as a Field Deputy or in the CJF performing inspections, audits, compliance & safety duties & other duties as assigned. The Captain is a vital part of the division/bureau management and may provide Night Command after hours. Captain positions help to set & execute the goals and objectives and are responsible for the mission of their assigned area.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No felony convictions
- Previous experience
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- Supervisory/Management Experience
- U.S. citizen
Other Qualifications
- Must be a certified Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Wisconsin
- Must have five (5) year's work experience in a sworn LE position
- Must have at least one (1) year of supervisory experience as a sworn Lieutenant or equivalent with a sworn LE agency
- Must have at least 60 college credits. Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
