Responsibilities:
The Town of Delavan Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of Community Service Officer (CSO). This is a non-sworn, part-time position that provides individuals with the opportunity to assist the Police Department in a variety of support roles while gaining valuable experience in law enforcement operations. Community Service Officers participate in daily department activities and work under the direction of sworn officers and shift supervisors. The Department is committed to mentoring and developing CSOs who are interested in pursuing a future career in law enforcement. Examples of duties include, but are not limited to: Assisting with patrol-related duties and ordinance enforcement on Lake Delavan Providing traffic direction at incidents and community events Assisting with transports.
