Position Responsibilities
The Stratford Police Department is seeking certified or certifiable candidates for the position of patrol officer. Functions of the position include protecting life and property, general patrol duties, criminal and traffic code enforcement, village ordinance enforcement and maintaining public peace. The department strives to protect and serve the Stratford community and works closely with community members to address problems. - Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
