Responsibilities:
Come join the Milton Police Department! We pride ourselves on our relationship with our community members and the support they provide us. The City of Milton is accepting applications to fill a vacancy and create an eligibility list for the position of Police Officer. This is an entry-level sworn police position responsible for protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Work involves patrolling assigned areas, responding to criminal, suspicious, traffic, and unusual and unusual situations as directed; investigating activities, gathering evidence, securing areas; protecting victims, the public, and property; apprehending violators, completing appropriate paperwork and other related duties as required. Police Officers are also required to perform first responder duties and provide basic emergency medical service.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Must be off probation and in good standing with your most recent or current law enforcement agency and have at least one (1) year of law enforcement experience beyond Recruit Academy. Qualified applicants have the ability to start up to year (5) of seniority for compensations purposes (Chief's discretion).

- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
