The Bloomer Police Department is seeking qualified individuals for an open full-time position. Our current union contact is up for negotiation for a wage increase in 2027. The department consists of 5 full-time patrol officers, Seargent and Chief. Officers are required to reside within 30 miles of the city within 18 months from date of hire. Lateral Transfer Program Details:
-Currently employed as a full-time police officer and must have a minimum of two (2) years continuous service in this capacity. Compensation & Benefits: -Entitled to wage commensurate with prior full-time experience. -Entitled to vacation accrual rate commensurate with prior full-time credit service.

- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
