Position Responsibilities
General patrol duties. Enforcing traffic laws and Village ordinance violations. Investigate crimes, make arrests, testify in court , and protecting life an property. Enhance the quality of life in the Village and working cooperatively with the public. Provide quality police services and promote a partnership for a safer community
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Lateral pay and vacation approved on a case by case basis, approved by the Village and Collective bargaining agreement.

- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
