Responsibilities:
We are seeking both lateral transfer candidates and those wishing to start a new career as a sworn law enforcement officer to join our patrol team. After completion of the Field Training Program, deputies are assigned a take home squad. Walworth County offers many opportunities for collateral duties such as SWAT, Dive Team, Crowd Control, Honor Guard, FTO, Mobile Field Force, Drone Team, etc.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Candidates with prior law enforcement experience are eligible to be placed at an hourly rate equal to or higher than that paid by their previous employer. With five or more years of prior law enforcement experience, a candidate is eligible to receive 40 hours of vacation upon hire, with higher annual rates based on their prior years of service. Expedited field training for experienced law enforcement officers.
