Reason for Announcement:
Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Chief of Police, shall work in partnership with the public to prevent criminal activity and provide law enforcement services for the community. Impartially enforces the laws of the State of Wisconsin and the ordinances of the City of Waterloo. Patrols the City of Waterloo in an effort to deter criminal activity. New hires receive a $5,000 sign on bonus.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
The police department may hire certified experienced applicants with pay and vacation amounts based on current collective bargaining agreement. Example top year recognized is 7 years at 15 days vacation and $34.95/hr. and lowest of 1 year at 10 days vacation and $32.13/hr.

- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record

- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
