Reason for Announcement:
Responsibilities:
Perform confidential administrative duties and maintain an accurate record of all related documents; Research, organize, and compile statistical and financial records to assist in the preparation of the yearly budget; maintain all budget accounts and purchasing records; Prepare documents and reports including charts and spreadsheets; Prepare all invoices and revenue memos; Maintain Department employee records; Assist in the completion of newly hired, separated, terminated and retired Department employees; Assist in the hiring and promotion process for all recruitment processes; Attend and perform secretarial and administrative duties at scheduled Police and Fire Commission meeting; Monitor and maintain all Department employee benefit and wage changes for payroll. Maintain all department employee clothing allowance ledgers; prepare and maintain the department employee handbook for civilian department employees; schedule training, travel arrangements, and per diem reimbursement for all department employees; answer phones, screening and routing calls to appropriate personnel, arrange appointments, route incoming mail, and manage the training room calendar, place order for office supplies, participate in and attend all staff meetings, serve as notary public when needed, Attend and participate in specialized training which will enhance the abilities to perform the confidential administrative assistant position, Must remain Time Certified
