Position Responsibilities

The Village of Johnson Creek is currently accepting applications for a current vacancy and also establish an eligibility list for a planned retirement vacancy in January of 2027. The Police Officer position is responsible for answering calls for service, traffic enforcement, addressing criminal behavior and quality of life issues, and proactive patrol in the Village.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

This Opportunity is available to any officer, currently employed in a Law Enforcement Agency, and in good standing with that agency. The lateral transfer program will be at the discretion of the Village, offer higher starting wage and vacation benefits.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
