Officers work a 4-on, 5-off, 12-hour shift schedule. The Clintonville Police Department employs 12 full-time officers, including our Chief, Captain, three Patrol Sergeants, a Police School Liaison Officer (PSLO), and a K-9 Officer. We also employ part-time Patrol Officers. Our agency also has a 24/7 police dispatch center.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe community through patrol activities, respond to calls, crime prevention, problem solving, conduct criminal investigations, enforce state laws & local ordinances including traffic laws, ability to communicate and resolve conflicts, testify in court, complete official records & reports
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
When considering a lateral transfer candidate with prior law enforcement experience for vacancies, the Chief shall have the authority and discretion, based on prior years of experience, education, and additional skills, to determine the rate of pay and vacation eligibility accrual that may be granted to such a qualified lateral transfer upon hire.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
