Position Responsibilities
Examples of Work Performed: A Patrol Officer’s duties include, but are not limited to the following: A Patrol Officer enforces all municipal and pertinent county, state and federal laws. A Patrol Officer patrols in a marked or unmarked department vehicle, on foot, bicycle or other method as assigned. A Patrol Officer operates speed detection equipment and takes enforcement action. A Patrol Officer directs and controls traffic. A Patrol Officer investigates traffic crashes, crimes and other incidents and prepares all necessary paperwork and reports.

- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations

- Vision correctable to 20/20
