Position Responsibilities

Patrol Officer opening(s). 1-2 part time positions available now with strong opportunity to move to 1 full time Patrol Officer in very near future. Part time Officer begins at set hourly rate already determined by City Council. Experience with 5 years or more Law Enforcement experience adds additional pay per hour. Full time Officers begin at higher pay and full benefits with opportunity to earn more if have experience. Field Training Program is provided to both Part time and Full time Officers. All uniforms and duty gear is provided at no cost upon being hired either Part or Full time status. Lateral transfers may be considered.

Qualifications
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position
  • Ability to possess a firearm
  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • Previous experience
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20

Other Qualifications
  • Minimum Standards have to be met as per WI LESB to be considered
