Position Responsibilities
Able to face challenges, work independently, in a team environment, general police functions including patrol, criminal law enforcement, traffic code enforcement, ordinance enforcement, maintaining public peace, protecting life and property and working with the community to address community problems.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
The Chief of Police reserves the right to hire an experienced certified full-time officer at a higher step on the wage scale. The Chief may also award a newly hired lateral officer additional vacation time.

- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification

- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
