This posting is to fill 4 (four) vacancies for 2 (two) full-time male jailers and 2 (two) full-time female jailers. The shift you work has not been determined yet. This posting is also to establish an eligibility list. Employees with full-time positions work (12) hour shifts on a rotating pattern of Two (2) days on, three (3) days off; two (2) days on, two (2) days off; and three (3) days on, two (2) days off within a two-week window from 7p.m. to 7a.m.

Responsibilities:
Maintain safety and security throughout the entire jail facility. Book and release inmates. Perform general housekeeping and sanitation requirements . Perform other functions and duties as assigned or required.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Probationary rate of pay and vacation negotiable.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
