Responsibilities:
• Patrols within Village of Viola for the prevention of crime and enforcement of laws and ordinances. • Develops working relationships with community members to identify concerns and to increase public trust and office transparency. • Assists and participates in community events • Assists local responders such as EMS and Fire • Attends training and meetings and maintains licenses and certifications. • Able to work evenings weekends and holiday • Follow safe work practices and perform other duties as assigned. • Files all necessary reports to the state • Represent the Village in meetings, public presentations, and before the media. Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position

- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- Previous experience
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- Supervisory/Management Experience
