The Mountain Bay Metropolitan Police Department is currently expanding and accepting applications for the position of patrol officer to fill immediate vacancies. The department is currently comprised of 39 sworn officers, 4 civilian staff members and serves approximately 24,356 residents in the Villages of Weston and Rothschild, Town of Weston and City of Schofield. We are an innovative department that offers employees numerous promotional advancement opportunities throughout their career, as well as many opportunities for special assignments such SWAT, Mobile Field Force, Drug Task Force, Field Training Officers, K-9 Handlers, Evidence Technicians, School Resource Officers and Community Service Officers.

Responsibilities:
Patrol officers are responsible for the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. Duties include patrolling assigned areas, answering calls for service, investigating crimes, gathering evidence, making criminal and traffic arrests, and other duties as required. Pitman Schedule: The Pitman Schedule is a 14-day rotational cycle in which each employee works (7) 12 or 10 hour shifts. The first week consists of 2 days on, 2 days off, followed by 3 days on. The second week consists of 2 days off, 2 days on, followed by 3 days off.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Lateral transfers will be considered based on previous law enforcement training and experience.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position

- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
