The Village of Osceola Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for two full-time police officer positions. Candidates with a least two years of full-time experience as a police officer are eligible for an accelerated starting wage. Osceola PD officers work a 12-hour Pitman schedule which allows them every other weekend off. Applications will be reviewed on a weekly basis to expedite the hiring process with the intent to begin employment more quickly than a traditional process. This posting will remain open until both positions are filled. Osceola PD does not currently have a sponsorship program for applicants who have not graduated from the recruit academy. Responsibilities:
Osceola PD officers perform all essential tasks of a police officer with a focus on professionalism and building a relationship with the community. Officers enforce both municipal ordinances of the Village of Osceola and the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Flexible starting pay with Police Chief and Village Administrator approval based on years of full-time experience. Lateral transfer candidates will undergo an accelerated field training process dependent on experience and performance.
