Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

The Patrol Officer is responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and responding to emergency and non-emergency situations within the City of Oconto. Primary duties include patrolling neighborhoods, investigating suspicious activities, responding to calls for service, and taking appropriate law enforcement actions, such as issuing citations or making arrests. Patrol Officers work to prevent crime, provide assistance to the public, and maintain order through a visible police presence. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to make quick decisions under pressure, and a commitment to serving the community with professionalism and integrity.
