The Prescott Wisconsin Police Department is initiating a hiring process to fill a full-time opening The Prescott Police Department is a full-time law enforcement agency serving a population of approximately 4,500 and many tourists during the spring, summer, and fall. The police department is comprised of the Chief of Police, Lieutenant, Patrol Sergeant, Investigator, SRO, Patrol (with the ability to join the county ERU team) and one Administrative Assistant. The current 2027 pay scale for patrol starts at $32.13 with step increases after six months, as well as after years 1, 2, and 3 with a top out after five(5) years of 41.19/hr. The City of Prescott offers vacation, sick leave, 13 paid holidays,. A $500/yr. uniform allowance is available to officers as well. The police department enjoys a great training budget as well as a 2-2-3 work schedule, affording officers every other Fri-Sun off. Lateral transfer incentives are available for candidates with previous experience and who have left or are leaving their departments in good standing.
