Applicants must be 21 years old at time of hire with a High School Diploma. 60 college credits must be obtained by the time the individual has been employed by the City of Franklin for 5 years. Approximately½ of these credits can be obtained through attending the Police Academy. The successful applicant must attend and graduate from the Police Academy (while being sponsored by the City of Franklin) during their probation period, with classes likely starting in January 2027. The City of Franklin offers Health Insurance upon retirement. Recently approved contract includes 4% annual raises for the next two years. ***This posting is for NEW Officer Applicants.
