Looking for motivated Deputies who like working in rural Pierce County. Schedule is 12 hours shifts with a 3-2-2-3-2-2 schedule. Every other full weekend off. Take home car and flexibility with residency. Our county call volume doesn't always have you running call to call which allows Deputies to work traffic, drug interdiction, look for subjects with warrants, assist investigations, enforce DNR laws and more. We have the following specialties in our department. K9, Recreational Patrol (boat, snowmobile, dirtbike, and atv) Evidence Technician, Drone operator, SWAT Team, (including drivers, robot operators, drone operators and negotiations) and a DARE Officer. We will send Deputies to specialized training in areas that interest them such as drug interdiction and recognition, drone operator, advanced field sobriety, DAAT, instructor development, firearms instructor and more. Responsibilities:
This is general patrol deputy position. Deputies will be responsible for handling calls for service, enforcing local, state, and federals laws, enforcing traffic laws, investigating crimes, testifying in court, affecting arrests, etc. Full time deputies will have a take home squad and part time deputies (with academy completed), who are filling a shift rotation may have a take home squad also. Full time wage is 32.78 - 36.98 Part time wage is 24.76

Applicants with previous experience may be hired at a higher starting pay rate and with added vacation.

Qualifications:
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position

- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good physical condition
