Reason for Announcement:
Responsibilities:
Community policing, traffic enforcement, respond to calls for service, investigate traffic crashes, conduct investigations, enforce federal, state, and local laws, prepare written reports, forms, and other documents as required, and testify in criminal and municipal court proceedings. Additional opportunities arise such as: drone team, k9 team, recruiting team, school resource officer, field training officer, instructor, promotions, etc.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
We encourage experienced officers to apply! Newly hired officers can be hired at a higher rate of pay and greater amount of vacation than that of an officer with no previous experience. At a minimum all new officers will receive 120 hours of vacation annually. Officers also work 11-hour shifts on a 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off rotation. This results in having every other 3-day weekend off and working approximately 61 less days annually when compared to the traditional 6/3 schedule many agencies utilize.

- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
