Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of routine and complex public safety work consisting of preventative patrol, community policing activities, criminal investigations, car crash investigations, enforcement of Federal and State Statutes, enforcement of Municipal Ordinances, first responder responsibilities, traffic control activities, provides emergency response to citizen requests and performs all other police functions within the City of Dodgeville.

- $300 Annual Fitness Membership Reimbursement
- Annual paid wellness visit -with remainder of the day off
- All 13 Holidays are able to be used as time off throughout the year
- Longevity pay of ($30.00) for each year of service; after 5 years ($40.00) for each year of service; after 10 years ($50.00) for each year of service; after 15 years ($60.00) for each year of service; and after 20 years ($70.00) for each year of service
Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
- Minimum Age:

- High School Diploma
- 60 College Credits/Associate's Degree
- *Completion of, or current enrollment in, a WI LESB approved academy is REQUIRED
