Responsibilities:
Duties are to protect, regulate, and serve the community through discretionary enforcement without the benefit of immediate supervision. Qualified candidates must have and/or be able to gain a working knowledge of criminal law, city ordinances, and city and department policies. Proper grammar, positive attitude, good speaking ability, neat and clean appearance are some of our sought after traits, and will benefit the patrol office while having contacts within the community, enforcing laws, making arrests, report writing, testifying in court, and conducting investigations.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. citizen
