Lateral Transfer Program Details:

If employed by another governmental unit as a full-time law enforcement officer, the applicant can be credited with an amount of years equal to such previous service. This benefit is at the discretion of the Chief of Police and subject to approval by the Village Board. The employee must successfully complete this department's field training to apply for the benefit. The benefit does not apply to sick leave accumulation, nor does it advance the employee in seniority.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
