Lateral transfer opportunities for starting wage and vacation time based on your previous years of certified law enforcement experience is now available! Responds to a variety of emergency and non-emergency calls for service within the county assisting the public. Participates in the formal investigaiton of crimes, responds to and investigates traffic accidents, and enforces federal/state laws and county ordinances. Works as a member of the Sheriff's Office team to contribute to and accomplish goals and mission of the Office. Maintains a positive relationship with the public we serve. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Clear and concise speech
- Driver's license
- Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
- Good driving record
- Good physical condition
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
- No domestic abuse convictions
- No felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
