Position Responsibilities

The Neillsville Police Department is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Police Officer. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Under the general direction of the Chief of Police and Patrol Sergeant, the selected candidate will work in partnership with the community to prevent criminal activity, enforce laws, and provide professional law enforcement services. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and a community-focused mindset. The Part-Time Police Officer must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays, as needed by the department. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to build positive relationships with citizens while maintaining public safety and trust. This is an excellent opportunity to serve a close-knit community while being part of a dedicated and progressive small-town police department.
