Responsibilities:
Position Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Jail Sergeant(s), Jail Lieutenant, and Jail Captain, A Jailer is responsible for maintaining the institution's security and the custody and correctional treatment of inmates. A Jailer's primary focus is the maintenance of the institution's security, contribution to the health and welfare of the inmates, and the promotion of good public relations. Additional collateral assignments may include program facilitation and activities coordination.
