Position Responsibilities

This is a working, first level, uniformed, supervisory position. Respond to calls for service, patrol, traffic enforcement, investigations, report writing and other duties as assigned. Will serve as supervisor of assigned shift.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

At the discretion of the Chief of Police, the starting wage and paid time off may be increased, dependent on work experience.

  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to perform essential functions of this position

  • Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • Previous experience
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations

  • Must have minimum 2 years FULL TIME sworn law enforcement officer experience.
  • If currently employed by a law enforcement agency must be in good standing.
