Lateral Transfer Program Details:

Lateral transfers are encouraged to apply. Lateral Transfers will follow the current contract agreement between the Village of Thiensville and the Thiensville Professional Police Association. The contract states, any sworn law enforcement officer hired to the position of police officer may, at the discretion of the Village Administrator and subject to approval by the Village Board, receive a starting annual salary based on their prior years of service as a full time sworn law enforcement officer up to the five (5) year step of the collective bargaining agreement. In addition, vacation allowance may, at the discretion of the Village Administrator, be awarded, up to thirteen (13) years of credited service, commensurate with their prior years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer and thereafter follow current contract language. The vacation will be prorated in the first year.

  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
