Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities

Progressive community policing oriented department seeking lateral entry officer(s). Patrol the community by vehicle/ by bike/ by foot. General patrol/ answer calls for service/ investigate crimes and accidents/ make criminal and traffic arrests. Department has periodic opportunities such as ERT Team/ Drug Task Force/ Detective Bureau/ SRO. Great community for family/ metro communities a short drive for shopping and entertainment. Great schools. 8.25 hr shifts/ 3 shift plan/ 6-3 schedule.

Lateral Transfer Program Details:

Lateral Transfers available dependent on qualifications: 1-2 years/ hourly rate as yrs experience/ start with 1 wk vaca/ 3-4 yrs/ hourly rate same as experience/ start with 2 wks vaca/ 5+ yrs/ start with 1st level longevity and 2 wks vaca/ entry level seniority for laterals. 8.25 hr shifts/ 3 shift plan/ 6-3 schedule.

  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Clear and concise speech
  • Driver's license
  • Eligibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
  • Good driving record
  • Good physical condition
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and skills in operating computer systems
  • No domestic abuse convictions
  • No felony convictions
  • React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
  • U.S. citizen
  • Vision correctable to 20/20
