The City of Green Bay Police Department is accepting applications for Patrol Officer. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Recruitment Process: - Report Writing Test - Initial Interviews with Police Department Panel - Background Investigations/Final Interview with Police and Fire Commission - Polygraph - Psychological Exam - Medical Assessment Applicants who have not completed the recruit academy have the opportunity to receive sponsorship through the department at a local technical college (NWTC or FVTC). If an applicant lives in a different region of the state, possible accommodations can be made for a recruit academy closer to you. The Green Bay Police Department offers a wide variety of specialty opportunities such as SWAT, K9 Handler, Dive Team, Crisis Negotiator, Training Unit, Traffic Unit, Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), Honor Guard, Motorcycle Unit, CCIT, Community Police, Behavioral Health, Detective, Mobile Response Team (MRT) amongst many more.
