Maintain a safe community through patrol activities, respond to calls, crime prevention, problem solving, conduct criminal investigations, enforce state laws & local ordinances including traffic laws, ability to communicate and resolve conflicts, testify in court, complete official records & reports.
Lateral Transfer Program Details:
Lateral transfer refers to an applicant who is currently employed full-time at a municipal, county, or state police agency and has completed their probationary period. Successful lateral candidates will start at a higher pay step than entry level candidates. Vacation time will also be adjusted according to police experience.
